CLUTEX General Assembly Celebrates 20 Years of Collaboration, Innovation and Shared Vision

On 25. 25–26 June 2026, members of CLUTEX gathered at the historic monastery in Hejnice, Czech Republic, for a two-day event combining the 20th anniversary of the CLUTEX cluster with the Annual General Assembly.

The anniversary seminar provided an opportunity to reflect on two decades of advancing the Czech technical textile industry. Through panel discussions with the cluster’s founders, presentations and open discussions, participants looked back at the origins of CLUTEX, its key milestones and the achievements made possible through close cooperation between industry, research organisations and academic institutions. The programme also focused on the future of the cluster, addressing new strategic priorities and the challenges facing the technical textile sector in the areas of research, innovation, internationalisation, education and sustainability.

The second day was dedicated to the Annual General Assembly, where members reviewed the cluster’s activities, financial performance and the results of national and international projects carried out over the past year. The meeting also introduced upcoming project initiatives, strategic development plans and future marketing activities, with a strong emphasis on expanding international cooperation, supporting innovation and further enhancing the services provided to CLUTEX members.

The 20th anniversary was also an opportunity to express our appreciation to everyone who has contributed to the development of CLUTEX over the past two decades. Since its establishment, the cluster has grown into a respected platform connecting companies, research organisations and educational institutions. Through numerous collaborative projects, international partnerships and joint promotion of Czech technical textiles, CLUTEX continues to strengthen the competitiveness of the sector both in the Czech Republic and abroad.
