The CEMTEX project addresses the issue of medical textiles from the perspective of their circularity, deals with waste minimisation, seeks to promote changes in the approaches of responsible institutions, including regions, and to support the transition from disposable to reusable textiles and products. It identifies the many bottlenecks in both demand-side procurement and supply-side logistics and compliance, and will provide solutions and best practices to help create better policy instruments that can support both the production and reuse of circular medical textiles and promote regional value chains and the circular economy in general.
The project is implemented in the framework of cooperation between 9 partners from 8 European countries.
