TEX-BREIN – Interregional Community of Textile Ecosystems for Circular Transition: capacity building, strengthening networks and organisations

Project objectives:
The TEX-BREIN project aims to promote the circular economy and innovation in textile ecosystems in Europe. The main objectives are:

  1. Strengthening value chains and innovation: to strengthen the innovation capacity and resilience of value chains in the textile industry, promoting the transition to a circular economy and sustainable production processes.
  2. Promoting cooperation and knowledge sharing: to promote inter-regional cooperation between developed and less developed regions through capacity building and technology transfer for textile recycling.
  3. Enhancing capacities for green and digital transformation: ensuring that businesses, especially small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs), have the skills and capacities to make the transition to green and digital technologies.
  4. Creation of a portfolio of investment opportunities: develop 20 specific investment projects (3 of which focus on the design of textile waste recycling centres in less developed regions).
